To my dearest darling readers:

I hope that as you are preparing for your grand soirees to ring in 2013 that everyone keeps safety in mind. Please don’t get behind the wheel if you’ve had a few sips too many of champagne. I hope everyone has a pretty dress to wear and a nice person to smooch at midnight.

As for me, 2012 was alright. Full of ups, downs, and all arounds.

Here are some of the highlights from my year. I broke up with a boyfriend, I moved (twice), I won a Fiction of the Year award for my short story “The Green Boots”, I created an ebook version of previously published stories, I got my old job back and beat a bad boss, I lost a dearly  beloved uncle, I found Nollie alive after he’d been missing for two weeks, I got two raises and a bonus, I did a lot of freelancing, I let my best friend down by not moving to Brooklyn, I was on TV, I published a bunch of articles, I moved into my old apartment, I started talking to my sister again (sort of), I discovered Hello Kitty nail stickers, I did a ton of babysitting, I spent time with friends from Connecticut, and I started this blog to document and share all of it (hello new friends).

Yes, 2012 was a good year.

Especially for music.

I found The Drums, I found Sleigh Bells, I found The Lumineers, and so many more. I made it to Virgin Mobile Freefest and I loved every minute of it. I started using Spotify and I can’t stop, I simply can’t stop.
